This weekend sees the Smugglers bringing three different bands to Islington Mill! Firstly, we’ve got our good friends Nucleus Roots doing a LIVE Dub set. Next, is our good friend and Smuggler collaborator Kuntri Ranks heading up Extra Love and finally sees DUBHEART coming up all the way from the south. We met David ‘Daddy’ Mountjoy at Outlook and we’ve been trying to think of way to get the band up here since then! They tore down the Main Stage, and I’m sure they’ll do it again this weekend!
We’ve had an amazing past week. With Earl Gateshead and Super Four coming up North to record at 80 Hz Studio and perform at Reggae Thursday. Then last night we were at Illuminaughty which was a new experience playing Dub at a Psy Trance night! All in all a WICKED week.
It’s all confirmed, we’ve been booked and the Smuggler crew is clawin together funds to ascend on Pula en mass! Last year was INCREDIBLE with us getting to play on the MUNGO’S HIFI boat party, thanks to Earl ‘The Daddy’ Gateshead! With a bit of support and fortune from Neuron Pro Audio, our good and much loved favourite Pro Audio Company we got to play on their stage to hundreds of ravers! Dub Smugglers have been invited to debut at Reggae Thursdays @ The Deaf Institute. It’s been a while since we’ve played some lovely ROOTS on Thursday evening. Due to this we thought it would only be right to invite some of our good friends to come and join us! This week we are bringing Earl ‘DADDY’ Gateshead and Super Four from TROJAN SOUND SYSTEM to bless the dance, it’s FREE and the VIBES will be in their plenty…
