Here’s our brand new mini documentary featuring Earl Gateshead and Super Four from Trojan Sound System. We got the guys up from down south to record at 80 Hz Studios, here in Manchester. This weekend sees another MASSIVE dance! We welcome DUBKASM Op ‘Norf first quite possibly the first time if not the first in a long time. Expect a ROAD BLOCK session and dubplates ’til dawn. Mind On Fire and Red Eye HiFi will also be in affect so come and skank til your shoes fall off!
This weekend sees the Smugglers bringing three different bands to Islington Mill! Firstly, we’ve got our good friends Nucleus Roots doing a LIVE Dub set. Next, is our good friend and Smuggler collaborator Kuntri Ranks heading up Extra Love and finally sees DUBHEART coming up all the way from the south. We met David ‘Daddy’ Mountjoy at Outlook and we’ve been trying to think of way to get the band up here since then! They tore down the Main Stage, and I’m sure they’ll do it again this weekend!
We’ve had an amazing past week. With Earl Gateshead and Super Four coming up North to record at 80 Hz Studio and perform at Reggae Thursday. Then last night we were at Illuminaughty which was a new experience playing Dub at a Psy Trance night! All in all a WICKED week.
